Does Nintendo Plan On Creating A New Handheld System, A Step Better Than The Ds Lite?

I have checked that games will be available for the ds until atleast the end of 2009. Is Nintendo planning on revamping the Nintendo Ds Lite as they did to the original Ds? And/Or will Nintendo create a totally new handheld system?
